2017 Elks Canadian Curling Championships

The 2017 Elks of Canada National Curling Championship will be hosted by the Stavely Royal Purple Elks No. 99 and Elks No. 112 Lodges in Stavely, Alberta from March 22 – March 25, 2017. This event will be attended by our Grand Exalted Ruler, Denis Ellingboe. Please, seriously consider participating in this event.

This event is open to all Royal Purple Elks and Elks as well as prospective members. Each team is only required to have two members on the team. There are championships for Ladies, Mixed, Mens, Seniors, and Masters events.

Team entry fees will be $250 payable to Stavely Elks No. 112: c/o Ian Sundquist, PO Box 414, T0L 1Z0, or on March 22, 2017 at the Team Registration. Deadline for team entry is March 7, 2017. Please contact Ken Lengyel at the following email address: to enter your team.

The curling events will be held in Nanton, Alberta, with the social events being held in Stavely. Overflow rooms are available in Claresholm. Transportation to and from these events will be provided by shuttle buses. The Committee recommends booking your rooms early. The National Curling Championship Committee urges all Lodges across Canada to consider sending a team or individual curlers to this event. The Committee will do it`s best to accommodate individual entries by placing them on a team. The goal of this event is to promote Elkdom, please seriously consider participating. Some funds are available from Grand Lodge to assist members travelling long distances to defray travel cost. These funds are being made available through the sale of the Sports Pins. Please remember the profits from the Sports Pin sales are the primary source of funding for the National Sporting events.
